Hotfix Rhinestones are small, lightweight and have a heat activated glue already at its back side. They are made of either glass, crystals, resin or metals and have a foiling on the back side which contains hard glue which is activated by application of heat. To apply these stones, the glue must be activated by heat and then applied to an appropriate material, until it bonds with the carrier material. These hotfix rhinestones can be applied by normal clothing iron machine or a special hotfix applicator can also be used. When cooled, the glue hardens and securely and permanently fixes the elements in place.
