Jersey is a knit fabric used predominantly for clothing manufacture. The fabric can be a very stretchy single knitting, usually light-weight, jersey with one flat side and one piled side. Polyester has long been regarded for its resistance to stretching and shrinking, and with the addition of elasticity, it makes a jersey material that can't be beat. Crisp and resilient when wet or dry, polyester single knit fabric works well for fluid jerseys as it does not wrinkle easily. Fibres used to create polyester material is very strong, yet light in weight; making the fabric suitable for all seasons. They are also highly stain resistant, so it is a great fabric for cleaning.
